Strictly speaking, this variant doesn’t refer to a printing process. A standard pressed CD is manufactured by sputtering it with a silver layer of aluminium. On this silver surface the medium can be printed in offset or screen printing. The golden CD the CD is manufactured by sputtering it with a golden layer of aluminium, which leads to the golden effect. Forthermore, these golden CDs can then be further processed in screen printing. The Gold CD is perfectly suited for a CD pressing especially for Christmas, or for a CD duplication as a special edition for certain occasions.
